Course Description: Tier 2. This course provides students with an overview of services available to patients who have experienced a sexual assault. Activities include: being on-call for sexual assault examinations at SFGH; observing didactics, group counseling, medication intakes, and medical follow-up at the Trauma Recovery/Rape Treatment Center; attending a monthly Sexual Assault Response Team meeting; observing on-going legal cases; visiting the D. A.'s office, the Sex Crimes division of the SFPD and SFWAR.
Prerequisites: PSYCHIATRY 110 OB GYN R S 110
Restrictions: Must be a UCSF medical student who holds 4th year standing.
