Course Title: Hepatitis B: Clinical Training
Course Description: Integrates clinical skills for Hepatitis B detection and prevention with its prerequisite course Med 170.34A Hepatitis B: Community Outreach and Patient Education. One hour lecture will be given on universal precautions. Students will be required to attend two 3-hour training sessions on phlebotomy and IM vaccination and to utilize these acquired skills at a Hepatitis B community health event for 3-hours.
Prerequisites: UCSF Students must be in good academic standing. Students must have previously completed and passed or be concurrently enrolled in Medicine 170.34A.
