Course Description: This elective offers medical students the opportunity to learn about solid organ transplantation, and how various types of medical providers impact the care of donors and recipients. The elective includes a lecture series (approximately six lectures) about solid organ transplant and organ procurement. Students enrolled in the elective are encouraged to attend at least one organ procurement experience with the thoracic and/or abdominal UCSF organ procurement teams.
