Course Description: This course is the clinical complement for all the didactic courses in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. It is intended to provide students with skills to perform basic oral surgical procedures in an office setting and provide appropriate referrals for procedures beyond their scope of practice of the general dentist. It is also intended to expose the students to the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice. Completion grade (P/NP) is awarded at the end of the spring quarter.
Prerequisites: D4 and ID4 students in good standing and by the consent of instructor. Successful completion of PCC-109.01
Restrictions: Completion of: Basic Life Support certification. Successful completion of PCC-109.01
