Course Description: Parnassus C/L: The Consultation/Liaison service at Langley Porter/Moffitt-Long provides an opportunity for medical students, especially those planning a career in or interfacing with primary care, to experience psychiatry in a general hospital setting and emergency department. Students evaluate inpatients from various services (medicine, surgery, ob-gyn, the emergency department, among others), formulate differential diagnoses, assessments and plans, as well as psychodynamic and cultural formulations.
