Course Description: Despite possessing specialized training that can be an advantage in resolving conflict, health professionals often lack confidence in their ability to negotiate. This course teaches methods that allow health professionals to assert their own and their patients’ interests while defusing the tension that arises when multiple parties have competing goals. These skills can be used in direct patient care and in advancing wider health policies.
