Course Description: This research elective will include both a didactic and operational introduction to disparities research methods in the demographically unique and underserved population of the San Joaquin Valley (SJV) of California. In the course the student will be introduced to the nature of the local population served by UCSF Fresno, and will learn the basic methods necessary for successful completion of a research project in this unique population. The student will learn the fundamentals of research.
