Course Description: Students will be paired with a neurointensivist and a neurohospitalist in this apprenticeship model to provide care for patients with acute neurological and neurosurgical diseases in Californias Central Valley. This CIEx elective would provide 3rd-year medical students the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the day-to-day care of patients with diseases, such as subdural hematomas, subarachnoid hemorrhages, brain tumors, strokes, spinal stenosis, spinal tumors, etc.
Prerequisites: Completion of Medicine 110 core clerkship
