Course Description: This course introduces the concepts, principles, & use of molecular and genetic methods in epidemiologic and clinical research. Students will develop a framework for interpreting, assessing & incorporating such measures in their area of research. In particular, students will learn about: common molecular measures available; including such measures into clinical research; and interactions between genes & other exposures.
Prerequisites: Epi 180.04 & possession of MD, PhD, DDS or PharmD or equivalent degree. Exceptions to these prerequisites may be made with the consent of the course director, space permitting.
Restrictions: This course is part of the Training in Clinical Research (TICR) Program and may have space limitations. Auditing is not permitted.
