Course Description: An introduction to the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine-metabolism diseases. The areas covered include those endocrinopathies involving the major endocrine glands, as well as diabetes mellitus and hyperlipemias. Patients will be examined and treated in both the inpatient and outpatient services. Attendance at 3 clinics per week and daily work rounds are required activities as well as post clinic conferences on Fridays.
Prerequisites: Medicine 110 and consent of instructor.
