Course Description: Students participate in the management and evaluation of critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. This includes the interpretation of laboratory results, blood gases and chest X-rays and the use of mechanical ventilation and hemodynamic monitoring. Supervision is by full-time faculty with senior Medicine residents.
Prerequisites: 4th year standing
