Course Description: Students receive instruction in the full breadth of pediatric orthopaedics. This includes the diagnosis and management of conditions including fractures, scoliosis, developmental hip dysplasia, perthes disease, clubfoot, sports medicine and congenital anomalies. Operative and non-operative management strategies will be emphasized. Assistance in surgery and the use of treatment modalities is required. Clinical demonstrations, seminars and conferences form the basis for didactic instruction.
Prerequisites: Pediatrics 110 and Surgery 110.
