Course Description: The Pediatric Cardiology rotation will be a combination of discussion and patient interaction. Discussions will provide understanding of basic anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, embryology and electrophysiology. Congenital heart defect diagnosis and management will be an integral part of this course. Patient contact will include both outpatient and inpatient. Inpatient will include rounds, consults and ICU PICU and NICU).
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Core rotations in Medicine and Pediatrics.
Restrictions: 4th year medical students.
