Course Description: Clerkship provides exposure to typical pediatric inpatients at a quaternary care children’s hospital in a setting where the student assumes primary responsibility for initial evaluations, diagnostic procedures and ongoing management of patients. Students are assigned patients and are expected to follow them from admission, including initial history, physical exam and work up through to discharge. Students should be fully integrated into the team.
