Course Description: Students have the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team composed of occupational therapists, social workers, pharmacists and physicians. Learning objectives focus on learning culturally competent interviewing, formulation, differential diagnosis, and psychopharmacology in a fast-paced environment where most patients stay 3-5 days. The elective provides intensive exposure to a broad spectrum of conditions encountered in the practice of inpatient public psychiatry.
Prerequisites: Psychiatry 110. Neurology 110. Medicine 110.
Restrictions: Final Year.
