Course Description: The Consultation/Liaison services at ZSFG provides an opportunity for medical students, especially those planning a career in or interfacing with primary care, to experience psychiatry in a general hospital setting. Students interview inpatients from various services (medicine, surgery, ob-gyn among others), formulate differential diagnoses, as well as psychodynamic and cultural formulations and utilize brief psychotherapy and psychopharmacology approaches.
Prerequisites: Psychiatry 110. Neurology 110. Medicine 110.
Restrictions: Final Year.
