Course Description: Operating Room (OR) Assist: Clinical Experience is an elective that provides medical students with the opportunity to participate in surgical procedures at UCSF affiliated operating rooms. Students will be paired with a surgical mentor and scrub in on a minimum of 3 surgeries. Review sessions on surgical skills, gowning, gloving, sterile procedures and operating room etiquette will be provided.
