Course Description: This course provides the opportunity to integrate scientific knowledge and clinical practice to develop advanced beginner ACPNP practice, including clinical procedures, in pediatric acute and/or critical care practice settings under the supervision of a clinical preceptor. Focus is on detailed assessment, diagnosis, and management of infants, children, and adolescents with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions with progression in competency demonstrated over subsequent quarters.
Prerequisites: Nursing 208, Nursing Skills Lab 413.11, and Nursing 415.13A
Restrictions: Course enrollment is limited to ACPNP specialty students or approval of FOR.
