Course Description: Culminating clinical experience in the role of the ACNP, with emphasis on student's specialty interest such as cardiopulmonary, critical care, or Emergency Department/Trauma. Emphasizes the ACNP as principal provider of care, with a designated team, for a specific patient care environment or a specific population. Focus is on the development of the nurse practitioner in an acute care setting, emphasizing detailed data gathering and refinement of physical examination skills.
Prerequisites: NURSING 414.20B or NURSING 415.20B
Restrictions: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner students only.
