Course Title: Advanced Skills Application in Acute Care Pediatrics

Course Description: This course provides students with the opportunity to obtain basic and advanced clinical skills for the pediatric patient requiring acute evaluation and management. Emphasis is placed on applying evidence-based practice concepts related to information gathering, advanced physical assessment, patient presentation, and procedural skills across the spectrum of pediatric acute care.
Prerequisites: Completion of the following year 1 Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialty program coursework: NURSING 245.06, SKILLSLAB 413.11, NURSING 246.06A, NURSING 415.11A. Or active enrollment as an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialty post-graduate student, or instructor approval.
Restrictions: Enrollment as an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialty student, or as a Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialty post-graduate student, or instructor approval.
