Course Description: The course explores advanced topics in nurse-midwifery care including complementary therapies, management of chronic illness and obstetric complications, and informed consent during pregnancy and childbirth. The class builds on prior courses and emphasizes salutogenesis (health promotion), ethical principles of care, patient and family-centered care, and shared clinical decision-making. Nurse-midwifery assessment and management will be fostered using interactive lectures and case studies.
