Course Title: Hospital-Based Medicine: A Clinical Skills Tutorial

Course Description: This course introduces students to the art and science of caring for inpatients. Students will spend 4-8 half days working one-on-one with an attending in our VA Faculty Hospitalist group, learning from a mix of inpatients. Students will practice history-taking, physical exam, written and oral presentations, and will be introduced to pre-rounding and multidisciplinary care. Students will complete a learning plan and will confer with faculty at course end about progress and future goals.
