Course Description: This course provides an overview of occupational health, using a regulatory, ethical and professional nursing practice framework to explore the diversity of worker populations. This course will emphasize understanding of the social and legal systems for occupational health; the social, cultural, and economic factors influencing vulnerable workers or worker groups; and the role of the occupational and environmental health nurse (OEHN) in implementing socio-culturally sensitive OEH services.
