Course Description: Teams of four do the work (case study) required of Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committees. The students act as pharmacy directors on a P&T Committee responsible for assessing a drug for possible inclusion onto a health plan's formulary. Students use critical analysis, research, and presentation skills to present the assessment of a drug's scientific evidence, cost-benefit analysis, and clinical use.
Prerequisites: None.
Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to student pharmacists and the consent of the instructor.
