Course Description: Students learn to evaluate and care for children with primary immunodeficiency diseases and allergic diseases. This course emphasizes: --the ontogeny of the immune response as it relates to immunodeficiency and allergies --immunologic dysregulation involved in the pathogenesis of more common and rare disorders --laboratory studies required for diagnosis --the care of children with chronic (immunologic and allergic) diseases.
Prerequisites: Medicine 110 and Pediatrics 110
