Course Description: This course examines key tenets of healthcare policy including regulation and licensure, education and deployment of the health workforce, public health systems, the legislative process and health legislation such as the Affordable Care Act, and basics about state and federal health programs including Medicare and Medicaid. Students will explore the environment outside an organizations vertical structure and examine supports and barriers to initiating structural change.
Prerequisites: HLTH ADMIN 200A, HLTH ADMIN 200B, HLTH ADMIN 207A
