Course Description: The course will discuss advanced imaging concepts relevant to characterizing the musculoskeletal system. Anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system will be reviewed. Basic knowledge of the technical aspects of imaging as taught in the core courses MSBI program will be assumed. Applications of imaging to the assessment of musculoskeletal function, biomechanics of movement, tissue biochemistry, and musculoskeletal diseases will be discussed.
Prerequisites: Biomedical Imaging 201; Biomedical Imaging 202
Restrictions: If not enrolled in the Graduate Division (ie pursuing Master or PhD) then students must obtain instructor approval.
