Course Description: The hematology-oncology (hem-onc) rotation is designed to provide an opportunity for advanced 4th-year medical students (MS4) to have a time for concentrated study of diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs, benign and malignant tumors, including study of their development, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. While on the rotation, acquisition of knowledge about hem-onc will be fostered by being involved in the evaluation and treatment of patients in both the inpatient and outpatient.
