Course Description: This is a Bridges Curriculum Clinical Immersive Experience (CIEx), which provide medical students in Foundations 2 opportunities to broaden and enhance their professional development in health care settings different from those of their core clerkships. The Emergency Medicine/Acute Care elective provides PISCES students exposure to patients with acute medical issues. Students spend 10 shifts in the Emergency Department and 5 additional half-days at the Screening and Acute Care Clinic.
