Course Description: This 2 week elective will focus on the care of patients with serious, chronic and terminal illness emphasizing symptom management, communication, ethical issues and psychosocial support of patients and their families. Students will spend time with the interdisciplinary palliative care team made up of an attending physician, nurse specialist, social worker, and chaplain.

Restrictions: Must be a 4th year medical student.
