Course Description: This course will provide learners an opportunity to take an active role in interprofessional team work and team based practice in the setting of Diabetes Youth and Families (DYF) residential summer camp providing care for children with type 1 diabetes. Learners will be assigned to a group of campers and provide diabetes treatment and management support for all meals and activities, as well as ongoing health needs common to residential camps. Learners will stay on-site for the duration of camp.
