Course Description: Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students will evaluate the history and current state of interprofessional teamwork and practice in healthcare. Students will discuss barriers and facilitators to achieving model collaborative practice including managing conflict, differences in values and goals and overlap in roles. IPEC competencies will be evaluated and strategies to engage nursing and other health professions in shared patient-focused problem solving will be explored.
