Course Description: Course focuses on the application of culturally sensitive pediatric health promotion strategies with the ethical integration of life-sustaining healthcare for chronically-critically ill children in varied health care environments. Emphasis is placed on the application of foundations of pediatric health promotion including assessing growth and development, health screening, vaccinations, and surveillance for health and behavioral/mental health disorders while providing life-sustaining care.
Prerequisites: None
Restrictions: Students must be enrolled in the Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Specialty or have permission of the faculty to enroll in course.
