Course Description: This two week course is designed to provide the medical student with a fundamental understanding of the principles and practices of Clinical Microbiology. Through direct observation of benchwork, weekly didactic sessions, teaching rounds, and other learning materials, the student will receive instruction in the following areas of Microbiology: Bacteriology, Mycobacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology, Infectious Disease Serology, Virology and Molecular Diagnostics.

Restrictions: 3rd or 4th year medical student in good standing
