Course Description: This is a Bridges Curriculum Clinical Immersive Experience (CIEx), which provide medical students in Foundations 2 opportunities to broaden and enhance their professional development in health care settings different from those of their core clerkships. Students will join the acute pain service team, which manages patients with complex post-surgical pain. Students will evaluate patients in the chronic pain clinic, participate in pain alleviation procedures, and examine related social issues.
