Course Description: This course is the second part of a 3-part introduction to personal finance for medical professionals. The elective will explore the particular tax situations that physicians face, insurance coverage (malpractice, disability, and life), and how physicians are compensated in various employment systems. Students will learn tax strategies unique to medical income groups, gain knowledge to make insurance decisions, and improve their understanding of reimbursement for their work.
Prerequisites: This is part of a 3 part series of Ortho Surg 160.05, 160.06 and 160.07 offered in Fall, Winter and Spring quarters.
