Course Description: A 4-wk orthopedic surgery sub-internship. Students are assigned to an available subspecialty at Mission Bay/Orthopaedic Institute (inquire with course coordinator). Students receive instruction and experience in examination and treatment of patients with orthopedic conditions through clinical and operative exposure. Clinical demonstrations, seminars, and conferences form the basis for didactic instruction. A 10-minute case presentation to faculty and residents is required in summer.
