Course Description: This elective offers students experience in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Students will be exposed to patients with functional impairments due to a wide variety of illnesses and injuries in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Students will become proficient in the neuromusculoskeletal examination and develop skills to lead an interdisciplinary team in the rehabilitation management of patients with disabling conditions.
Prerequisites: This rotation is ideally suited for 3rd- and 4th-year medical students with experience in direct patient care.
