Course Description: This course introduces students to foundations of data analytics to prepare students to use data to inform their policy and clinical decision making and to prepare them for an increasingly data driven health care landscape. Students will learn how to obtain public data for health services/policy research, prepare analytic files for descriptive analyses and interpret and visualize findings. The class uses STATA (no experience necessary) and follows principals key to reproducing research.
