Course Description: In this course, students will use critical thinking to evaluate nursing science and theory, and the impact on contemporary healthcare. Theories and conceptual frameworks that underpin knowledge, scholarship and practice will be discussed. Middle range theories from nursing and other disciplines will be evaluated for their application to healthcare issues, and their support of clinical inquiry and practice interventions that enhance outcomes.
