Course Description: The course applies health assessment concepts and skills under supervision of clinical preceptors. Students perform assessments of hospitalized adults with acute or chronic illness and develop the ability to differentiate between normal and abnormal findings. The course develops the role of the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with emphasis on interprofessional collaborative relationships and the continuum of care across care settings.
