Course Description: The elective offers students a varied introduction into the world of kidney medicine through diverse contexts including global health research, renal health disparities, organ transplantation, preventive kidney medicine, & advances in kidney disease treatment. Students enrolled in the elective will also have unique opportunities to connect with Nephrology faculty and meet panels of dialysis kidney transplant patients in order to understand the lived experience of kidney disease.
