Course Description: While on rotation at Highland Hospital, D4 students will develop their skills in flap elevation and surgical extractions. They will assist/observe implant surgeries, exposure of impacted teeth, preprosthetic surgeries, biopsies, and sedations in the outpatient clinic as well as major surgeries in the operating room. They will see patients with trauma, temporomandibular disorders, pathologies, infections, and dentofacial deformities and learn how to approach assessing and treating these patients.
Prerequisites: Completion of year 3 of dental school
Restrictions: Prereqs: Successful completion of all third-year dental school courses.
