Course Description: This is a course in clinical and popular nutrition intended for medical students and other health care professionals. The course will consist of: A review of the epidemiological and clinical research related to eating patterns and misconceptions of the public; critical review of literature addressing eating patterns, health, and disease; mechanism of pharmacological effects of food; education of physicians of topics relevant to common patient nutritional concerns.
