Course Title: Acting Internship in Medicine
Course Description: The sub-intern functions as an internal medicine intern under the supervision of the senior medical resident, admitting on average 2-3 patients every 4th night. Responsibilities for all admissions include: initial history and physical exam; data gathering and interpretation; developing an assessment plan; reliable presentations orally and in writing; and management as the primary provider throughout the hospital stay.
Prerequisites: Medicine 110.
Restrictions: 4th year standing.
