Course Description: During this rotation, the MS4 will participate in the management of patients with common cardiac conditions such as chest pain, valvular heart disease, heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, and arrhythmias. This will include critically ill patients admitted to the CCU with conditions such as: STEMI/ACD, unstable arrhythmias, decompensated CHF, heart transplant, pulmonary hypertension, cardiomyopathy, and heart block. No overnight call, minimum 4 days off in 4-week block. At Van Ness Campus.
Prerequisites: MEDICINE 110
Restrictions: Fourth-year medical students only.
