Course Description: Students will spend 4 weeks as acting interns on the neurohospitalist service at UCSF Health. Two weeks is spent on the consult service and two weeks on the primary ward service. The neurohospitalist service is a tertiary care referral service that serves the Bay Area, Northern and Central California. There will be exposure to a wide variety of neurologically affected patients in and out of the intensive care unit. Attendance at departmental clinical rounds, seminars and conferences is required.
Prerequisites: NEUROLOGY 110 and fourth year standing, or NEUROLOGY 110 and completion of core clerkships in Medicine, Surgery and Pediatrics.
