Course Description: A comprehensive experience in anesthesia & perioperative care. Clinical skills include airway management, IV insertion, drug administration, physiologic monitoring, sedation and acute pain management. The OR facilitates review of pulmonary/cardiovascular physiology and pharmacology. Developing rapport, confidence, professionalism and communication are emphasized. Reflection helps the student find meaning.
Prerequisites: Third-year standing.
Restrictions: 3rd year medical students.
