Course Title: Intro to Magnetic Resonance Imaging System and Hardware

Course Description: This lecture-based course offers an introduction to the fundamental aspect of MRI system and related hardware, covering magnets, gradient coils, shimming coils and RF coils. Each topic will include lectures and review of relevant literature. Students will be asked to give an oral presentation, write a report based on the chosen topic, search/review literature and attend lectures. There will be no final examination.
Prerequisites: College physics, electromagnetism, basic understanding of MRI, or consent of instructor.
